Today, the 8th of September, the name Maria is quite significant to me. First, my road management work for internet singing sensation, MARIA ARAGON ended with her and her family's departure back to Canada. And second, it's the Birthday of Mama Mary, The Mother of Our Lord Jesus Christ!

50 days ago, I met this girl, named, MARIA arriving from Canada where she was born and grew-up in. With so much hoopla and frenzy for this Filipina girl who was able to perform with no less than Lady Gaga and sang for the Duke & Duchess of Cambridge Prince William and Princess Kate, I had the rare privilege to be her Handler for her engagements for Star Records. Everything happend so fast for this girl and so as with her schedule here in the Philippines that right when she arrived at the airport, she went straight to Music Uplate Live for her very 1st Philippine TV guesting.

Then came contract signing, then recording and all that TV guestings. (i will have a series of stories on my road management account on Maria as the days go by in this blog). Yesterday was the last Hurrah for her in ABS-CBN with her recording a song for the network (soon i will have an insider account on this too) and music video shoot before heading back to Bellevue Hotel where she stayed for all the days she was here in the contry. Things got somehow emotional in her Farewell party hosted by her manager, Jeng Guiab at Ayala Alabang and yet all had fun being with Maria for the last time. I will truly miss this little girl named Maria! See you "SA CANADAw"! hahahahah!

I met another Maria years ago! Mama Mary has been a very significant person in my life with me having my primay/basic education in Immaculate Conception Parish School (now Cathedral School) in New York....CUBAO! hahahaha! The Highschool & College in Don Bosco Mandaluyong. I clearly remember me having my devotion to Our Blessed Virgin Mary and praying that i get accpeted to Don Bosco coz i never had any other entrance examination for highscool elsewhere. Truly MaMa Mary works in mysterious ways. The best thing was Don Bosco has a very strong devotion to Mary the Help of Christians. And during those low and hard times as a student and now as what i am today, i would always come to her and pray to her for her intercession.

Today is a Holy Day! And i must admit i haven't been in touch with Mama Mary lately. but as i finish this Blog, i'm going to Church and hear mass to honor and pray to one Person...MaRIa!
